    Your gauge is off as new motor spec is 150 psi. However as long as your gauge reads with a 10psi window across all 8 compression is good Check fuel pressure

    yes, anything above 2 psi and the floats open then the next thing is the proper sized carb.

    the coil will fire until voltage is below 9 volts.

    the only downside to points is if they sit, the point faces oxidize and need to have a points file run thru them. this is normal spring time tune-up. takes less than 5 minutes to file points, set dwell and set timing and that includes finding the dwell meter, timing light, screw driver...
