    You had the waring pro serrated slicer (or similar) too? It works... But I have been eyeing the ones websturant store has. Seems the ~$300 units are all about the same. My local deli went out of business and sold their pro grade one for like $200... They do pop up on FB marketplace and such too.

    Our quarter mile deep wells fell off in production towards the end of last year. We shut them all down and switched to surface Monday to conserve for now.

    Bellows replacement

    Mine lasted ~17 years in salt. Or if dad is remembering wrong they were ~30 years old. Shift boot was replaced once or twice as the old cables didn't last that long.

    Using poly resin without glass

    Use unwaxed resin, let it set then gelcoat with a coat of unwaxed then a coat of waxed. That's how I did my bilge and electronics area. I wouldn't gel over wet resin/glass only because you may shift something/cause an air bubble and you might not see it.

    I keep looking to replace my all stainless grill outside... to get anything comparable is in the 3k range too. But a set of burners and deflectors is $50. Dad paid... $600 like 18 years ago for it now. Grills and smokers are crazy expensive now.

    I ran a vertical and offset smoker. I preferred the offset personally. Temperature control was better in the low range. If I wanted hot though, the vertical did better. They both had their strengths.

    It was 90 F when I foamed my hull. I had the heater blasting the hull surface to also help. I feel I actually got good expansion. I waited for that reason. I also heated the buckets of foam parts to help as well and worked in small batches.

    Dad used some laminate. Made a screw down teak track around the edge to rout and contain liquid. Once it got beat up you unscrewed and replaced it. Stopped fishing around that time so I never saw it used. It's back to upholstery covered now for me because I fish the 33.

    Poly. Once it started kicking a bit it'd stick. I kind of realized less was more with it. Wet out leave it for 5-10 minutes and work elsewhere then go back and final roll was ultimately the play.

    I did it both ways, gravity helped but when you'd get the top out, the edges would pull and vice-versa. The best was going down 8 inches on each side, the weight kept it good enough like that.
