    Transom saver or no?

I really like my transom saver. If I had mounted it over again I'd have done something with U brackets instead of drilling through the trailer. I put a good amount of 5200 around the washers and holes to make it waterproof. Hoping it holds. It was bubbling first time to boat ramp so I did it again.

    Transom saver or no?

Transom saver installed and successfully used this weekend. We made a 151 miles trip each way.

    Transom saver or no?

I’ve already bought the transom saver and installed the mounting bracket. I wanted to make sure I wasn’t causing more harm by using it at this point.

    Transom saver or no?

Do you do anything else to secure them or just tilt up and go?

    Transom saver or no?

My outboard is a 1980. No tilt/no trim hydraulics. Is there anyway to "tilt" without these?

    Transom saver or no?

I got my new trailer set up pretty well. My boat launches and loads really easy now. My next question is should I use a transom saver? My trailer doesn’t explicitly have a place for one so I’ll either have to drill a hole or use some u bolts to mount something. Motor is 35 HP Johnson. In the all...

    Best Jet Drive

the boat ramp nearest my house are all jet motors. it gets so shallow they're a must. I am the only clown fishing with a prop. I'd say majority of them are Mercury. Guys all report loving their Mercs. Local marina told me all the Jet lowers made today come from same factory regardless of brand...

    Trailer Tongue Too Long?

The worst "Ramp" I've been on is at a campground in Noblesville. Its basically a busted up concrete pad that leads into the river. I had 4 wheels in the river trying to launch the boat last summer. I found a nicer/steeper ramp upstream so I don't have to use that anymore.

Will boat for this style trailer?

I put a couple keel rollers on the boat. It launches and and retrieves like a dream now. This is what it’s supposed to be.

    Best flooring options?

I plan to start taking floors out as soon as season is over.

    Best flooring options?

Nothing wrong with it at all. I’m just sure I’ll buy a newer hull in the next few years. It’s want more than a need for a new boat

    Best flooring options?

This is realistically a 2-3 year repair need for me. I’ll update to a newer boat after that.

That vinyl Marideck stuff looks super nice. It will either be that or Eva foam.

Will boat for this style trailer?

I went to Marina tonight and boats i looked had the bunks just outside the strakes instead of just inside like I’ve done on this trailer. Are the bunks being just inside the strakes an issue or am I ok? I’ll buy a 4x4 or do 2x4 on side to do my bunks on to raise bunks on trailer up if they need...

    Best flooring options?

My primary concern isn’t noise. Really just want to fish. I put some 3/4 inch plywood over the top of the back of the boat so I could just fish this year and not worry about redoing flooring in summer. It’s worked out so well I’ve really considered not redoing floors. That being said I want...

    Best flooring options?

I have a 1987 smoker craft magnum 165. It’s a nice boat and I only paid $500 for it. I’ve fished it all summer and It is a good boat for my needs. I have been looking at Lund fury 1600 and boats similar but I can’t justify 20k when my boat now works just fine. My boat is in need of new flooring...

Will boat for this style trailer?

I think I got it! I moved the bunks just inside the keel/stringers things and seems to launch and I launch super easy. Raises it just enough no issues in very shallow water. That roller upfront gets bow up just a little.
