    I think if it was runny, that would be a good bet as to why it cracked. Did you have that problem with the larger fillets?

    If the floor has soft spots, odds are good that you have rot below the deck, in the stringers and transom. Have you checked them?

    If water is coming in from any of those, the presence of the water is normal. If you're just floating or driving around and you have water collecting in the bilge, you have a leak and need to fix it.

    I think my concern would be US Customs if you get the Ontario boat. We trailer our boat across the border every year and they very frequently check our trailer plates and registration.

    Personally, I won’t tow tubes from the tow hook. A bridle attached to the transom tiedowns is your best bet. If the rope dragging in the water while pulling riders is a problem, get a booster ball. They work great, and they stop rope spray from hitting your riders.

    Probably has more to do with when it was built... I am guessing the average weight of a person has gone up over the years. In any case, the weight limit, not the number of people, is what you should follow.

    Other possibility is a compromised seal between the gimbal housing and the transom. A cell phone on a selfie stick can be very handy to track down water coming when you're afloat.
