    In addition to all the great advice pervious mentioned Do yourself a favor; stop using starter fluid as this dissolves the needed lubrication for the pistons, get a fuel rated spray bottle and premix fuel.

    I've seen on this form someone mentioning that the 90 hp was really "a tweaked" 85 hp & the 125 really a 120 hp Having said this I only know the 85 & 90 hp motors

    Like Redbarron%% said; re-seal head gasket with Hylomar blue silicon ( a word of caution) APPLY only a thin film of it but too much will result into a gap between the cylinder & cooling passage. this will result in low compression and steam-cleaning

    Good advice, I go as far as putting tape over the hole in the top-cowl to keep the mice out (the hole under the handle to remove the cowl)

    Hey Topgun, you're partial right! the older ones you had to add one if so requested, but I did not know either that on the later models it came standard? (the "newest" one I know is a '92 with Merc. ignition-box)
