    from what I have read, the alarm is an out of normal range of pressure for the RPM at that time. could be too low or too high. I would tee in a gauge to see what the pressure is doing when it alarms and when it goes away

    I am confused about you setting the advance to 10 and 27. is this something on the timing light or the motor? My Snap-On timing light from back in the 70s does not have anything to set, just hook up and read what is shows on the motor.

    I am of no help, I do not see anything either in that manual on the timing. But I did notice at the end it is for a 1999 F25X Whatever that means. did you ever check to see if the throttle plates in carbs close all the way when you back off the throttle?

    how many wires do you have going into the motor? if just 2 disconnect from the relay and run some jumpers from a good battery to those wires to see if it runs , and then reverse the jumper wires to see if it goes that way too. bad brushes can be replaced, but rust and water inside is not...
