    I would not have put dielectric grease between the crimp terminals and the wire. crimp them dry, then use epoxy lined heat shrink. I use both dielectric grease and marine electrical varnish.

    recheck the raw water pump. only use Johnson impellers or get them from Volvo Penta. do not use Amazon impellers only use GM raw water pumps. most of the amazon ones are not marine. they are cheap automotive ones with steel impellers do not use amazon for junk manifolds

    your boating in a high mineral area. the minerals on the prop shaft and the slight bit of minerals and transfer aluminum corrosion on the thrust washer. you should see a few corrosion pimples under the back side of the prop wire brush it, paint it, use prop grease on the shaft and go boating.

    check fuel pressure. you could have a leaking injector that is filling the intake manifold with fuel. the excessive fuel would be cleared by having the throttle open.

    I will also add, the chinese amazon specials that you have listed are more expensive than Barr manifolds which are OEM quality. I only recommend Barr or Osco. I do not recommend amazon chinese manifolds.
