Need Advice on Replacing Hubs, Drums and Brakes on Boat Trailer

The bearing protector don’t match the hubs which is 1.988 While grease in can will work, it’s a heck of a lot easier and a lot less messy to use grease gun and tubes of grease

EPA mixture screw covers 2003 BF50

No spark has nothing to do with the carbs. You need to sort out out the problems with the ignition (spark testing) first

Possibly getting a slip - what to know before saying yes

The ramp at the marina wasn't the greatest, but its private and 150 ft. from my parking space. Don't understand the need to two bilge pumps (although I have fore and aft) with a self bailing deck. If you loose a thru hull no amount of bilge pumps are going to keep you afloat

Possibly getting a slip - what to know before saying yes

Kept my boat on the trailer at the marina for 3 years. No bottom paint, not bilge pump worries, no dock checks between visits and no running down to pull the boat before blows. Took less than 30 minutes to pull, rinse, flush (saltwater) and back into my assigned parking space. Just rented a...

    Lewmar Windless

Only familiar with vertical windlass but binding is typical a lack of drop in the locker and or getting slack in the rode during retrieval. Have adequate drop (18" min.) in your anchor locker? Rode slipping or clutch?

Standard Horizon 890 charger makes interference in Standard Horizon 1400 Eclipse hard mount when charging.

It’s not a power issue per say. It’s RFI from the charger causing your problem. Check the integrity of the fixed mount antenna connector and the ground connections on your charger. A bad ground on either line will cause problems. Pull the antenna off with the charger on. If noise goes away...

Solar pool heater water flow question(s)

I have 1.5" supply and return lines. Upgraded from 3/4 HP to 1 HP a couple of years back figuring more is better. Turned out not to be the case. The increase water velocity was pushing sand and dirt through the filter. Took forever to clear the pool at start-up. Was going to buy a 3/4 HP...

My dad lived in Colonial Beach up until a couple of years ago. Fish out of Pt. Lookout quite a bit in August (Target ship) for Drum, then again in late November into December to chase Stripers.

    where does this plug in?

I have an 97 Evinrude 200. I'll look when I get home this evening but going by the wire colors in the manual, the wires are ground, low oil, no oil and overheat.

Solar pool heater water flow question(s)

Not following you. I run mine in parallel with the main system. I’m running a sand filter with 3/4 HP pump. Used the old 3/4” supply line to the sliding board that is teed off the 1-1/2” supply line to the pool. Installed a gate valve on the 3/4” line to regulate the flow to control the...

    Fish Finders

Seagulls are minnow and scrap chasers. If I see seagulls chasing bait I don’t bother getting out of the truck. Now if I see gannets on the hunt or diving it’s game on.

18' Triton Bay Flight on 5 Starr WR Trailer (is this setup okay?)

Just finished moving my boat from a tandem Loadrite roller that it sat on for 20 years over to Loadrite 5 Star aluminum bunk. You need to get the boat up and the rollers moved outboard if possible. Get the bunks to narrow you have issues centering the boat while loading Increase the height of...

    McCulloch Leaking Filter Bowl

Call them..... Most common "automotive" rubbers (Viton, Nitrile, EPDM) could care less about ethanol. It's the formulation of the now 40 year old fuel lines and gaskets that get people in trouble.

    150 EXEOM Choke solonoid picture.

No, the solenoid didn't fail. Too many years in electronics manufacturing to have any faith in a solenoid once the windings are burnt. It's only a matter time..... Replaced with OEM switch and aftermarket solenoid.
