    Grew up with Mercs. Some older johnnyrudes, some Atwaters, Mac's, Hiawathas. The Mercs always had more power for a given rating.. rating was at 3/4 throttle and above that was "reserve". At least that was the story I got at the time Dad had a buddy (Merc and Tecumseh contact) do some work...

    Rochester hasn't made a carburetor since 1989.. Volvo Penta has t used a non-holley carb since 1988. So what did you buy? If you want fuel economy, get a sail boat

    my guess is its on the keel seam or outer chine seam. leaking less as the boat is up on plane

    foam is added where ever the original builder needed to add it to keep the boat floating enough to pass the testing. for example, my boat has foam in the cabin, under the gunwales, in the boxes around the motor, the aft swim deck, and under the deck in some areas. my prior boats had...
