    Sounds like you are all dialed in good deal on the prop to pulley tear out. I did a similar repower a few years back , bought a great condition boat with known cracked block. Enjoyed the project and saved a bunch of money. Put some pics when u get it done

    Good deal. I assume you know that you will need to swap out for marine head gaskets, brass freeze plugs, and use a Marine water pump? Also use the elctrical and fuel components that are marine rated . that should be a nice power upgrade

    Some times the power is daisy chained through the gauges in series. check for 12 v supply to key switch. May have missed a wire connection on suuply power when replacing gauge

    Yes it is a high performance thing have a hot cam in there with lots of overlap it will create reversion. Stock cam timing etc no problem, only an issue with modified engines.

    Some one added a delco est kit to it , common upgrade that was also used by merc and volvo penta over the years. Chris has steered you right on how to set it make sure you can measure the total advance with an advance timing light or put a timing tape on the balancer

    I hear using merc power tune or similar carb cleaner as a lubricant and it pushes in by hand… i dont think glue goes on that end . @Bondo can you confirm ?
