Mercarb idle speed screw and adjustment

Maybe tje passages are a little plugged? I would go back to lean stumble spot and go out 3/4 or one complete turn, 1.25 turns at most not 3-4 turns. Let it idle 15 minutes and pull a spark plug or 2 and read them . 3-4 turns out you will eventually foul the plugs with black soot. If it idles ok...

Missing timing tab? Merc 4.3 2005

Yes timing light will advance the light 10 degrees so it lines up with the tdc mark. I think you have the thunderbolt V so you need it to be in base mode to set.

Missing timing tab? Merc 4.3 2005

Dont know why yours is different, but it you only have one mark on balancer would think it is tdc/zero Degrees. In that case either use a timing tape or advance timing light

    Mercruiser 3.0 verses mercruiser3.0/lx

Not sure what question you are asking ? Are you asking if the 3.0 base engine will work in place of the 3.0 LX off a 1996? Or are you asking about the piece on the back ( assuming you mean outdrive where the propellor attaches) if that will swap? The 3.0 and 3.0 LX will swap bolt in if it is...

Can't get boat even on bunked trailer.

Yes you are being a little paranoid. Its a new boat and Im sure a big investment. but If the waves are that big you wont be going out.. I have the taller pvc covered ones they hit the rub rail vs against the gel coat, but Im sure either style will work. you may want to check how far they stick...

Can't get boat even on bunked trailer.

Do you have side guides for the new trailer? I would suggest getting or adjusting them and putting the trailer in deeper. Bunk trailers need to be in more water than a roller trailer. Yes the spray and the glides you mention will help it slide on if you prefer that route

    Zero fuel pressure?

I had the same issue on my jet ski measureing fuel pressure. Maybe just put a T in and connect a rubber hose, plug it when done . At least you are making progress.

    1989 Capri Prop question

Stainless will be a little more to fix. Would highly reccomend fixing what was on there and tyring it out before spending on new props. If you have no track record with a boat and not much experince selecting props you'll probably end up wasting money on the wrong stuff

    2012 Axis

Everything rubber/plastic/paint attched to the manifold would be completely melted if it got hot enough to damage the casting... Most likely freeze damage you didnt preiously notice or manufacturing defect. Do you have water in the oil ?

    1989 Capri Prop question

Unless it is really beat up I would put it in the water first and and see where it lands WOT rpm wise before buying anything. Or just get yours repaired if you have a local prop shop typically aluminum props are like $85 to fix

    Prealpha trim pump leak

I assume he has a metal reservoir used on MC1 s or similar of that era prior to the intro of the R, MR, Alpha … would be good to see a picture of the pump and reservoir so we know what screw is leaking

1998 Bravo 7.4 Non-Magnum - Have Ruined 3 Impellers w/o ever putting the boat on the water...

I think you’d be ok reusing that housing. As you determined the issue was inadequate water supply. If the three impellers you roached essentially running them dry did any of them loose vanes? If they did you need to find the rubber pieces so they dont clog thee thermostat or riser passages

    1992 Celebrity w/350 magnum

What he said. The driveline is robust. But with that age look for rot. If the boat has been left uncovered walk away.
