    count what’s in the filter too as the 4.5 qts probably includes the filter volume . I get 3.5 to 4 qts out of my 5.5 qt system on my 5.0, add a gallon the. Check the dipstick works just fine.

    Basic tune up parts cap rotor plugs wires and ignition sensor are good ideas. My carb dries out too. The cranking is just to refill gas in the carb bowl , bump the starter 20 sec then pump it to set choke and let accelerator pump squirt some gas in. It will fire right up.

    Just like in homes lead paint becomes an issue for kids when it’s ingested or inhaled typically from old painted windows and doors Where the paint wears and is chipped. As long as the paint isn’t flaking and your kids don’t eat it you’ll be fine.

    I did the same thing when I replaced my entire brake system too. Works just fine for the last 5 years. In a perfect world you’d have hard pipe for most of it the long hose is a breeze to install and works just fine

    If the inner race spun on the shaft you may have to stake it to get it to fit tight. done that several times over the years To make a bearing race fit after a bearing failure

    Those are idle relief ports that the exhaust comes out of when the boat isn’t moving. I suspect with a 3.0 you could block one side off as only 3.0 the water and exhaust only seems to come out one side when on the muffs , which is the side you circle.     I think your memory is off 4,3 vortec 2 bbl is 190 hp, no 4 bbl offered , 5.0 Vortex 220 is 2 bbl Again no 4 bbl , 5.7 vortec 260 hp is a 2 bbl.

    If it’s a single engine it will be standard rotation (I think what you’re calling fwd) on older dual engine set ups one will be reverse rotation, now it’s typically done I drive or transmission
