    The hole beside the low speed mixture needle might be the vent for the carburetor bowl.----The high speed mixture needle / jet is found in the bottom of the carburetor bowl.

    That is what they call a ----phasemaker ----Ignition system.----Do you have spark that jumps a gap of at least 5/16" on both leads.-----Fuel pump is on the side of the carburetor.

    Post a picture of the bottom of the float bowl.---These are elegantly simple motors .----That if you have some patience to learn how to maintain them.-----Do a complete evaluation of this motor before spending any beer tokens on parts !

    1998 Johnson 90HP (J90TSLECM) voltage too high!!!

    There might be an issue with the water cooled rectifier / voltage regulator.----Top rear of the block , partially under the flywheel.

    Sounds like a 1979 EVINRUDE model # to me.----Stop running it until you figure out the issue.

    1985 model.---Need to install a new water pump impeller.------Pull one plug wire off at a time and try to start it.-----Or do that with motor running.----Report what you find.----Does primer ball go hard ?-----Did this motor sit for a long time , as in years and years ?

    Pinion gear is off but wont come out of bullet

    Took one of those apart a while ago.---Had to figure out the way it bolted on there..-----No brute force required to remove pinion here.----The new pinion will need to be shimmed correctly.

    Test compression with another gauge.----Those numbers are low,-----Sounds like it is running on 3 of 4 cylinders.-----When was a new water pump impeller installed ?------Does spark jump a gap of 3/8" ( 1 cm ) on all leads ?-----Some will argue, but I would pull bypass covers to have a look at...

    There is an o-ring or quad ring on the fuel valve.----Did you replace it ?-----I think these tanks are very good.

    Lower drain plug screw?

    Item #6 is the upper VENT screw on these and may be different than #10.----So fill gear oil from bottom till it comes out the vent.

    Crossflow 115 BIG issue

    You have a blown head gasket or broken rings.----Pull cylinder head.----You need 4 new pistons.------Broken rings is the most common failure on these.----It will happen to every crossflow !!
