    Check flywheel key too as it controls the timing.-----And no you can not find a sheared key with a timing light !

    Often they stick open when first opened after 15 years.-----Drop in boiling water and observe.----Cool it off and make sure it closes.-----Repeat 10 times.

    Fish poop in the ocean. -----So a bit of #2 does not matter.----Certainly less damaging than all the plastics and " forever " chemicals / medicines that end up in the ocean.

    The local boat shop would likely Know what size to go to.-----I would try a 67D on that motor if I was running at 5000'.----What are the compression numbers?----Try running with timing light one cylinder at a time and see how spark behaves.
