How did these V-8 motors run for you last season ?----Any chance there is a hidden on / off switch.------Hard to believe both have the same issue.----Any testing done on ignition parts or you just threw parts at them ?
Tank holds about 200 gallons or $1000 worth.----My home heating oil tank does not have a lock on it.-----Looked it up on google and locking devices are available.----Might make something as my cat does not bark any warning like the dogs used to.
Loose wrist pins were an issue up until 1961 when they made a HUGE improvement.---From bushing to a needle bearing.-----Went to the same wrist pin as used on a 4 cylinder 125 HP up to 1972-----That likely will never wear out on a 10 HP motor.
How did it operate for you last season ??----Is the motor running when you shift ?-----If motor is not running have your assistant turn the prop while you slowly put it into forward then give throttle.
