    I would not crank the motor at all. If the motor is drained per the owners manual (did you download or one come with the boat?) then you should be good. If your in a hurry, place a 60 watt bulb under the motor when you get home.

    Does the port motor show up as 12V also when the starboard has the fault? Some of the findings on the web list maintenance faults but have found none for critical. These listings do indicate that it the Merc G3 software (Merc only) is needed to analysis issues

    Compression and leak down test will advise if the valves are not seating If the intake is leaking on the underside spraying it will not cause it to show up. Did you ever check the fuel pressure?

    The plug uses 3 wires, Red=12V, Blue=UP and Green=Down. The plug end which goes toward the pump, use a jumper wire and jump Red to Blue Easy way to remember is Blue is the sky (up) and Green is the ground (down)
