    keep the compression ratio about 9.4 and dont worry about the fuel.

    you need the quench pad. make sure the final quench distance is in the .040 range are they using a used block, or a new block? the GMPP blocks have the mechanical fuel pump boss machined. the stock GM blocks do not.

    isnt it easier to pull the 6 nuts and remove the power head, then unbolt the steering arm, and get a new power head gasket than removing the mounts?

    without proper dwell time, the magnetic field can not build properly, therefor the energy is not there when the points open and the quality of spark suffers. some high end multi meters can do dwell functionality using the % duty cycle function, however you have to do math.
