    I will explain, I live on the river in a moderately priced home/cabin that is my retirement. LLC property management fat cats are buying the places and knocking them down and then build rental purposed dwellings . If I had an HOA i suspect this kind of activity would not exist.

    If you wish to replace the the bow eye find a piece of wood you can shape to fit inside the hull or maybe bend a piece of aluminumml to fit then imbed it in pb and glass over it.

    I think he meant the thermostat rated temp, if you're stat is rated for 140 then that is the temp it opens.don't matter what the gauge said.

    Looking at all that black gook on the eye, I think someone just glued it in. Hopefully the hull ain't busted up to bad, but you have the material to repair it.

    I feel for ya, after All the work you're done with it. I guess the backing on the bow eye needs some attention.

    be sure your valve timing is correct as well. it's easy to check and unfortunately easy to screw it up if someone has replaced the belt and not timed it proper.

    I wouldn't mind one, too many VRBOs around here. Mail delivery is blocked half the time, garbage in the road. Etc.etc.

    Yep Windex is about 30% ammonia, a touch of alcohol, good cleaner.

    303 has worked well for me, I find if I don't rub it in well or apply too much it will cause some streaking.

    Didn't happen to come back as HEP did they. I contacted a hep company for a heat pump replacement. The bid was astronomical. I told him go find a bank to rob . He called me back 2 days later and asked me what I thought was a fair price. I won't even tell you what I told him. , -

    Need your opinion about replacing the original Reed Valves in my 1986 Evinrude 30 hp.

    Might need some carb work but lets face it, hours of idling ain't the best for any engine other than a hit & miss
