Can a old mercruiser motor run very well with following pressures?

What engine is it and is it running now? If it has sat for a while then your measurements are not useful. It will run with the numbers you have given but not well but I think if you get it started and running the numbers will be more accurate.

1988 mercruiser alpha 1 gen 1 steering issues

Best I remember the tube that the cable fastens to has two flat areas on it that you put a wrench on to hold the tube in place when tightening the steering cable. You probably need to find a manual and it will explain it...

1988 mercruiser alpha 1 gen 1 steering issues

I have no experience here but remember reading in a service manual that the flats on the actuator need to be in the vertical position or you can experience a symptom called feedback. FWIW

What do I check next on overheating issue?

Replacing the elbows solved it for me, the original elbows were trashed. I also replaced the exhaust hoses as the hose from the Y pipe to the down elbow was toasted. post a pic of yours when you get them off.

    excessive corrosion?

I don't know much about them, been in business for a long time, the 220 I have is heavy and I relate it to a CC 210 I had previously. The CC was more agile the searay is a Cadillac in comparison..

    excessive corrosion?

Process of elimination is the only way I know of. I'd probably start with the solar panels If the diode fails they can leak battery power during dark hours.

    Fiberglass not bonded to plywood

Your at a place where your probably better off gutting the boat rather than trying to piece it back. Even if most of the decking is just wet but not rotted the stringers under the deck are. A total resto can be easier than repairs.

    excessive corrosion?

If the battery is disconnected/switched off then the v check is moot, My bad

    excessive corrosion?

I think the voltage check was to rule out stray current generated by the boat. In any case the anode doesn't appear to have lost much.

    excessive corrosion?

Been in fresh water for a year and a half, It's doing the job it was designed for. I would replace it with a magnesium.and see how that works for you.
