    LiFePO Batteries ???

    My very old B & D LIFEPO4 cells in a vacuum cleaner are run down to 5% regularly. Doing that for decades. Still at 90% of a full charge after BALANCING after every full charging. They are true LIFEPO4 cells. Not a Lithium knock off.

    A word of caution about ...ANY ....battery used for starting a motor. That 500 amps for 1 second. Is useless. If your engine needs more than 1 second of cranking. Lead Acid batteries HAVE a definite place on the boat. If your starting wires are on the small sizes ? They can be quickly damaged...

    Speed dependent noise vibration should be wheel bearings getting ready to break completely.

    I build them with 2 X 4 drilled & bolted together. You could even buy and slightly modify a engine hoisting stand. Harbor Fright used to sell great cheapies. That lifted any car V 8 engine.

    Are you mixing it at 3 to 1 ratio ? DId you buy the.....AIR COOLED ENGINE.... oil ? Check the label description again.

    You will be lucky if the new motors last 5 hours. DO NOT read about the massive failure rates and the huge out of warranty costs.

    Hotter than normal temps. I just replaced the impeller on the sterndrive, and pulled the circulator pump.

    Yes Those seals do not normally give problems.

    Either works just fine. Draining a crank pump is more difficult if you are going to a CLOSED COOLING system in a freezing location.
