    motor dies in reverse

    alpha one 1987 I took apart the throttle control apart awhile back and it cuts off in reverse.what would cause that?I know i did it but i dont know what i did. As soon as i shift it dies.Forward is fine.

    switching fuel pumps

    Im going to go electric because i found a new one in my shop.the old pump that goes on the motor died.And dont have 200 for a new one.so i was told i need a oil pressure switch? i think i already have one.And can i leave the old pump on the motor so i do not have to buy a block off plate?

    1979 johnson 35 hp seahorse Ive been having problems with the boat motor weak and surges at wot.The carbs are clean and ect.Im thinking it needs to be adjusted but where is the adjuster?When i hit the electric choke it gives it a guick boost then back to serging.

    A piece of advice on a 35 johnson

    dont put surface gap plugs in a 35 johnson.I got the boat for free and someone put them in it and it broke down every time.I changed them with champion and i landed big fish that day and a good running boat!
