    Great Lakes Warriors

Anyone else addicted to this show on the History Channel. It's amazing what these guys do just to earn a living. Not sure I'd be up to it. But sure looks like and adventure. My hat goes off to these guys.

    NHL 2012/13 - Season??????

I'm afraid that a lockout is inevitable next Saturday. As dissapointing as that is to me and the Admiral, we have made contingency plans. We are lucky to live only 10 minutes away from the Molson Arena which is the home of one of the top notch OHL teams, the Barrie Colts. We also only have...

    1985 Cruisers 2660 Vee Sport

A good 5K deal for someone. We had a peek at this 2660 yesterday as it's in our marina. The marina is selling it for outstanding fees. Nice clean looking boat. Do you think it's worth it just for the engine/drive? We watched them dock it and it sounds good.

    Stupid Lights

Ok, I'm probably the dummy here, but for the life of me, I can't seem to get the cover off my dome lights. I have twisted, pulled, pried and smacked them with no luck. All I want to do is replace the existing bulbs with LED's. Would anyone have any idea what I'm doing wrong

    Georgian Bay Tragedy

Many of us that live in this area consider Georgian Bay a bit of a challenge, especially the North Channel, which is on the north shore of Lake Huron north east of Manitoulin Island. A bit of a bragging right for some boaters who have successfully navigated through it. But this stretch of water...

    Calling All Plumbers

We live in a highrise condo and the main water shut offs to our unit are 1/2" partition stop valves I need to replace our kitchen faucet but neither valve will budge so I can shut them off. Is there some sort of lubricant I can put in the tube where the shut off key goes to loosen them up?

Moving sidways with a twin I/O - Crab Walking

Is it possible to move a twin I/O sideways. The reason I am asking is an old salt at our marina was telling me that if I did this and that the boat would walk it self sideways to our pumpout dock. Now if I understood him right, he said if I want to move to starboard, I should turn the steering...

Life Just Doesn't Get Any Batter Than This.

On our way up to Georgian Bay last week we spent a couple of days on Sparrow Lake. Waking up in the morning, sitting in the back of the boat with coffee in hand watching the sunrise, life just doesn't get any better than this.

    Windshield Wiper Arm Removal

I have to replace my wiper motor and have tried to get my wiper arm assembly off. No way this thing is budging. There doesn't seem to be any sort of "C" clip holding it on. Is there some sort of trick to getting it off?

    Bennett Trim Tabs

I have this particular switch to control our trim tabs. I would like to upgrade it to the new Euro switch. Is it just a matter of disconnecting the wires from the old switch and reconnecting them to the new one? I have emailed Bennett but haven't received an answer.

    Fuel Tanks

On our 270, we have a single fuel gauge and a switch marked tank 1 (up) and tank two (down). Does anyone know if Port is tank one or Starboard?

    Sony CDX GT-240

The previous owner installed a Sony CDX GT-240 stereo. I have read several reviews on this unit and they are all positive so I can't help but wonder why our unit sounds like something from the 60's. I'm guessing it's the speakers as they look like the same Panasonic ones I had in my AMC Gremlin...

    Shurhold Dual Action Polisher

Does anyone have any advice or comments regarding the Shurhold polisher? My Chicago Tools polisher bit the dust and I'm looking for a new one. It's that time of year to make the boat look purdy.

    Lake Simcoe Idiots

Again it happened. After two weeks of warnings to stay off the ice, another huge rescue had to be organized because some people think they no more than the Natural Resources folks and the police. It happens every year but yesterday's rescue was the largest I can remember...
