    Where did the RPM's go?

    My boat... 1998 Manta Ray 17'9 with 3.0 Mercruiser I/O, 19 pitch prop used to run, with just me in it, about 48mph at 4900 RPM. Last time out it started great, ran fine up to about 42mph and 4400 RPM (appx) No skipping or misfiring, just runs out of top end. Put on new prop.. same thing... any...

    Hard steering

    I have a 1998 Manta Ray 179 with a 130 Mercruiser I/O. It has always been hard to steer. It seems to take a lot of effort to turn. Is there anything that can be done other than hydraulic or power steering? I've had it checked by the dealer twice and they say it's fine. I'll never buy another I/O...

    More Speed

    I have a 17' bowrider with a 130hp Mercruiser 3.0L 4cyl. This boat will top out at around 45mph regardless of prop. WOT is about 4800 with the stock 19 pitch. I'd like to get the RPM back up with a 21 or 23 pitch for more top speed. Would I add more carburation....nitrous?
