    Force motors are OK----But only if you can do the work on them at home.---And locate parts yourself.-----Many dealers refuse to help folks with them.

    The " play " in the bearing means nothing to me.----An actual dial indicator reading would mean something.

    As you found out that was the wrong way to remove the bearing.----And do NOT weld on a shaft.
