    Nope--Splined washer does NOT go in front of the prop!------The splined washer is shown in the CORRECT place.----As stated that is an EVINRUDE part.----Not sure that splined washer is a SUZUKI part.

    Many years ago a boat arrived in my yard.-----Boat was tied to a dock.----Water went out the river.----When water came back , it filled the tilted / leaning boat.----Boat did not refloat.-----I immediately got the motor ( 70 HP ) running to prevent internal corrosion.

    Seiche---Water just disappears due to local atmospheric pressures.-----Happens fairly regularly in my area / harbor / river mouth.-----Water level drops over a few minutes by a foot or more.-----Then returns to normal a few minutes later.----Seeing it is believing it.

    Looked at one and it has a slight bend.----This is not an issue as stated.----Is the part of the driveshaft above the pinion in good shape?----Is bushing above the pinion in good shape?

    I would have to look at one of over 15 shift rods that I have here.--Later today perhaps.-----Yes , some OMC shift rods do have a slight bend.

    Add a ring gear to the top of the flywheel.-----Make a bracket to mount a starter.

    Remove / inspect shift rod bushing.----Replace o-ring.----Hard to believe a hammer was needed on this rod.-----Install the shift rod.----Assemble and test shifting.

    Most 6 HP motors in good condition start up without issue.-----Find the right starting procedure or trouble shoot the motor.

    Did your mechanic check CRANKCASE compression?----If $$$ are not an issue then put on a new VRO and test run.

    What testing / inspection have you done on this 2 year old pump?---Perhaps test run with another portable tank and hose.--How did you determine it is KAPUT again?----The pump is driven by crankcase compression.----There could be issues with that.------Note---In my opinion these pumps are simple...
