    Would some of you wiser folks know what the base flange of the 2brl mercarb for a 3.0 is based on? I’ve been looking at the Holley sniper marine 2brl conversions and thinking I might pull the trigger if I can find an adapter plate for it.

    So I might be an idiot... Since the fuel pump topic came up i decided to look them up to see the cost and I didn’t realize there is a filter on the bottom of it. I thought the filter was the spin on water separator/filter.... Could this be the culprit? Looking at it I don’t think it’s ever been...

    Boat is a 2001 engine is a 1998 model. New fuel water/filter fresh gas. I thought the gas might be the issue before so I drained it and put fresh fuel in before I put the new carb on and filter.

    What’s this thing? 3.0 mercuiser coil/dist wire

    Is this like a resistor or a fusible link? I looked at just getting a replacement harness but they’re like 50 bucks. Is there any harm in just patching it with a piece of wire to get me out on the water?
