    it at least bears looking into especially given the issues known with the crab style caps. in my experience if you have a good spark and any gas presence it will fire off easily.

    I would think needing to add throttle would be indicative of the IAC not working or screen being clogged. I wouldn't chase the rabbit hole of fuel pressure based on what you outline what kind of shape is the igntion system in ?

    you're right, this isn't a repair sleeve. it does go on differently - this is the bearing buddy version. Not sure if this better handles pressurized grease like with a bearing buddy ? Still not clear how the sleeve stays stationary on the spindle...

    i would think the oring needs to hold the sleeve tight to the spindle and make a grease seal. if it is a 1/4" off would seem either the spindle is severely worn or this kit doesnt fit your spindle. Cant imagine the sleeve turning with the seal as the oring under it would wear out quickly and leak

    Agree with the above take the valve cover off and take a look first. May have a loose rocker that can be adjusted. When you change it -Would also be looking in the oil and filter to see if there is metal indicative of a flat cam lobe.

    I wouldn't mess around with a sticking cable that wont allow it to return to idle. This is especially true for an alpha drive that requires a shift interrupt to get out of gear, and may not work at higher rpm. Hard to say if the cable needs adjustment or replacement
