Thinking about making a trailer cover... Opinions wanted.

Ironically we are building a pole barn but... its for vehicle parking. The town with permitting and other requirements managed to turn a 1k pole barn into a several thousand dollar venture... don't get me started. If it wasn't a shared living situation it'd be done already but I have to appease...

Thinking about making a trailer cover... Opinions wanted.

So it's not a matter of knowing that I can do it... I can. I think it's more if it's worth the resources and time. The goal: Build a reasonably water proof Resistant cover to toss over the boat for the summer when it's on the trailer. Not looking for trailerable, just for sitting next to the...

Mercury Tempest, Turning Point Mach 3 or Michigan Wheel Apollo?

I wouldn't commit to something I couldn't at least test but... all three are pretty solid choices. The tempest and Apollo are very similar if memory serves. The turning point is more like a inbetween of the mirage and enertia. The mach 3 (both the regular and OS) have been reported to cause a...

    2000’s Bayliner 175 I/O

I think the wood free models were later. That being said... they are "cheap" in the sense that when new they were ~10k new if memory serves. My local sams club had one for a give away years ago, same era. Everyone and their mother let their kids climb all over the thing. It held up real well...

    I/O (Sterndrive) Conversion to Outboards

Seems to more or less follow the prop slip curve as well... which makes sense. Most of my area averages 5 foot depth so I'd be waiting a long time. Luckily the bottom is soft most of the time. The dredged parts of the ICW are deeper.

    I/O (Sterndrive) Conversion to Outboards

Thank you sir for explaining it like 2 year old i am. (Charts make everything easy) Probably just seems worse than it is on the 33 due to how long it takes to plane and the loss of forward visibility. Those wellcrafts are notorious for running very bow high.

    I/O (Sterndrive) Conversion to Outboards

Okay. I have a question. On the hump angle... my experience has always been that for the most part it's pretty close to dead rise until you climb on top. Ie my 19, 33 my buddies 38 etc... all basically rise to the point of obscuring view until youre out of the hole. I really doubt it's an exact...

    New Stuff on Vehicles likes/dislikes

I would describe the seat heat in my current truck as slightly above body temperature... on the flip side my 04 was unbearable on high... like uncomfortably hot. That being said... my experience with GM heat and air is consistently you need a coat in the summer and a cutoff in the winter. I...

Was talking to dad the other day... he was joking about how cold it's been and that we'll find out how well the non-toxic -50 actually works.

    A little Home Remodel

Dad's adding a 20x40 pole barn onto the house. That would've been nice to do the boat resto in a few years ago vs the garage at my aunts. Looks good sir. I should repaint the kitchen for mom and dad soon. Just haven't had the time.

You'd think that would only be the lower cracking though. I'm talking whole power heads blown open... like glorious levels of freeze I'd think you'd have to try to achieve.
