    Getting 1st Covid/Pfizer shot romorrow

One of the best things that I liked about getting vaccinated was that I went back to my regular barber and got my hair cut for real! My wife really butchered my stepson's hair and I barely let her touch mine at all. I actually had enough hair for a small ponytail. The barber hadn't...

Main fuse on 1987 Mercury Classic 50 45hp keeps blowing

When I was installing the tach for my 1985 Merc 50, it didn't work. I found two problems. 1 - the yellow tach wires from the stator to the rectifier were shaved off at the flywheel. I had to replace the stator. Pricey! o_O 2 - after I replaced the stator, I hooked everything up and it...

    Getting 1st Covid/Pfizer shot romorrow

I had my first Moderna shot on Feb 3rd and my second on Mar 5th. 💉 I didn't have any bad reactions to either shot. Sore arm for a day or two, only at the injection site, but nothing else. :sneaky: I'm high risk and I have to tell you that it really took a load off my mind to be fully...

    weather station

I'm currently in the market for one myself. Got a birthday coming up and put it on the list for my wife to get me. I've always wanted one with a rain gauge and anemometer. 🌧️ 🌪️ My primary requirement is that it must have 2 outdoor sensors. One in the usual place outside, but another inside...

    1973 ISLANDER REFIT

Watermann definitely knows from where he speaks. (New beard too! ) I personally wouldn't want to go through something like this... o_O

Boat mooring in rocky areas (aluminum boat)

I think he's talking about houseboats on Lake Powell.

    Model Airplanes

Heh heh... yep, it's like that. When I was on a deep space probe project, it was about 45 minutes one-way light time, 90 minutes round trip, to the spacecraft. Send the command, go to lunch, come back and find out the command was rejected. Send again, wait 90 minutes again, then confirm...

    1979 Starcraft 16’ SS Refresh

Yeah, I really enjoyed getting rid of my nasty glasser donor boat. Always fun!

    New pistol for carry

No worries. Here's a comparison picture of a few of the .22 rimfire cartridges. .22 Long, Long Rifle and Magnum. There are plenty of .22 caliber semi-auto pistols and rifles out there. Kel Tec makes the PMR-30, a thirty round semi-auto pistol in .22 magnum. Neat gun. A buddy had one and...

    New pistol for carry

I was talking about .22 magnum, not .22LR. A different animal altogether. :)

    New pistol for carry

Speaking of magnum, I thought it would be interesting if Taurus (or a qualified gunsmith) could modify the little TCP 738 into a .22 mag caliber. Things line up fairly well and 15+1 of .22 mag would bring more firepower than the 6+1 of .380ACP.

    New pistol for carry

I carry a Taurus TCP 738 in 380ACP. This is my second one. I was happy with the first one and I'm happy with this one. It weighs 10.7 ounces and is pretty much invisible. I think it weighs less than my phone in its case. It's tiny and fits in the palm of my hand. :sneaky: The thing about...

Oh my!:oops: Fear not, there are guys on here who can advise you on how to buff that right out! ;):D:LOL::giggle:

The novice build: 1968 Starcraft SuperSport V-16 "The Boat"

I used 3M Scotch 4905 VHB Tape. Double-sided sticky stuff which is used to adhere badges and whatnot to vehicles and vessels of all sorts. Strong! But it's very easy to remove if ya make a boo-boo. Just wiggle a bit of dental floss behind the badge and "saw" it down. Badge pops off, use a...

The novice build: 1968 Starcraft SuperSport V-16 "The Boat"

Yeahhh... polishing aluminum is a pain. Mostly in the hands! I cut the Starcraft boat and trailer letters, logo and the Kingfisher bird for my 1976 Starcraft Kingfisher using aluminum sheet and a scroll saw. Then I hand filed and sanded everything. Took a lo-o-o-o-ng time! :sneaky...
