    Unhook the cable from the gearbox and see if the handle moves; while you're there make sure the lever on the gearbox moves like it's supposed to.

    You might have enough slack to pull out and down to reconnect it to the lower unit.

    1997 mercury 115hp oil injection

    1996 Mariner with close to 400 hrs that I was using up until last year and the oil injection worked just fine. I'd still be using it, but a deal on a Yamaha F150 was too good to pass up.

    Repropping Advice

    Hi everybody, as some of you know I'm putting a 292 in place of a 250 in a 17.5' Crestliner. Having a 165, the gear ratio is 1.65 and the original prop is 14.5D/17P. Any idea/suggestions for a prop for the new engine?
