    That’s the same dipstick part number for my 302, though I don’t have the dimples. I believe my oil tube goes to the port side of the oil pan. For oil I use Rotella T4 15w-40.

    A pressure switch is very different than a pressure sensor/sender. A pressure sender has a strain gauge, piezo sensor, or some other means of measuring strain on a diaphragm to convert into an electrical resistance. A switch just opens or closes a set of contacts.

    A simple test is to squirt oil in the cylinders and repeat the compression test. If the pressure is higher, you have bad piston rings.

    Keep adding oil. Make sure the drive is level. I can’t remember the value, but I think it’s more than 2.1L.

    My '95 OMC/Volvo raw water pump (3858847) is leaking a bit from the shaft seal. I can address via an aftermarket seal kit, aftermarket water pump, or an OE water pump. What's the team's consensus on the best way to address? Are the seal kits sufficient quality for a good repair?

    When you stop your engine most of the cooling water drains out, leaving air and salt water in the interior. It's much better corrosion-wise to run fresh water through your engine before shutdown. You may be able to just turn on the hose without running the engine to get the benefit. Not sure.

    Presumably you put it in the down position (gypsy latched) if you don't want the anchor to deploy, such as when you're under way. To operate the windlass to deploy the anchor you move the lever to the vertical position.
