    Well, it's not those lines that I need redone. Those I already checked out and they're solid. It's a rubber water hose that goes from the block to the transom shower hose fitting.

    None of my local dealers carry the 3/8 water hose I need for my water lines on my cabin cruiser. However they have 3/8 fuel hose, would I have any issues using that in place of the water hose? I have one connection that's left to the transom shower that I need it for.

    I'm assuming it'll work for the connections I have for the water heater, block, manifolds, etc? Just asking as I already have the aviation sealant. I appreciate the quick response alldodge.

    Can anyone help me out with the type of red liquid thread sealant that's used on the T's and other threaded connections on the engine? I've seen Loctite 554, Gasoilas (Which says it's a permanent sealant), among a few others.

    I have a ZF IV transmission that I bought part of a mercruiser 8.1 inboard drivetrain. It has water in oil from a bad oil cooler. Does anyone have any recommendations as to what ATF/Oil I should use to flush out the water (15-40 Rotella or ATF) ? The oils much better now but still a bit hazy...

    Luckily my VP dealer was able to point me in the right direction but they mentioned that other 233 Sunsetas use 17 pitch props for a single drive. What ideal MAX RPM am I looking for when I have it on?

    Thanks for the help Scott, I'll take a look at it. I also have another boat that had a run in with my skid steer attachment after someone forgot to put the pin in the hitch... I have a few questions about how to go about that repair as well. I'll make a separate post.

    One of the screws came out with compressed wood pulp. I think it may have been repaired but with some low quality wood. Is it a separate block of wood that's fiberglassed in alongside the stringer?

    I've dealt with gaugesaver in the past and unfortunately they don't have a way to fix these since they cannot power them on and also do not have the parts. I might have some luck with Teleflex or the other manufacturer for the gauge. Otherwise I would've replaced it with another if there was one...

    Update, disconnected pitot tubing from the Speedo... It works but pitot hole is clogged somewhere farther in the drive. I tried blowing air into it and it does not budge at all. At least the speedo issue is fixed after I get this salt/calcium/whatever it is blocking the drive pitot hole out...
