    Mod, if this is posted in the wrong group please delete. I'm looking at a Chrysler short shaft electric start 9.9 kicker. It's a later one and looks to be in great shape judging by the photos. What's a fair price to pay for this? Thanks.

    Interesting Chrysler 55 HP.

    Not mine but a person I met. 1972 Chrysler 55 HP. NAPA resister coils matched ohms with original ignition instead of CD module. Keep them on the water.

    What is this? I have no spark on two. I have switch coils and still no spark on the same. I have replaced the powerpack that feeds the coils.

    Lower unit gear lube question

    1987 Force 85 hp. What is the proper gear lube used for the lower foot? I can't find any information on it in the service manual. Any brands better then others? Thanks.

    Timing adjuster

    Force 1987- 85hp- model-856x7b. On an earlier post the person stated that his timing adjuster looked to be on backwards. Looking at mine and it is also on backwards! It would be very hard to do adjustment. This outboard I do not think that it was ever messed with as there are no signs of missing...

    Can I use a tach from a 1978 Chrysler 85HP outboard on a 1987 Force 85HP outboard?

    Newbie here. Chrysler and Force use the same wiring and controlls?

    I am a newbie, sorry. I removed a 1978 Chrysler 85 hp outboard and installed a 1987 Force 85 hp. Are they wired up the same, Can I use the Chrysler harness? Please help!
