    1974 Starcraft 21’ Holiday

Looks like you have good enough metal around the edges to rivet a new skin around the perimeter. Keep it on the flat and hammer some solids around the perimeter, 5200 or epoxy buttered in between.

    1976 Starcraft Chieftain 18' OB - restomod

I found the Coat-it to be a little thicker than the Gluvit, wasn't quite as runny and the darker color makes it much easier to see where it is going. That being said, I picked up some Gluvit to syringe into my bow seam with the hopes it will flow into where the Coat-it didn't get to. I believe...

    198x SS-150 rebuild

What stripper are you using? I was pretty happy with Citristrip and never had to cover it with plastic.

    1976 Starcraft Chieftain 18' OB - restomod

I agree with Watermann - leave it or just soften the visibility with some MT or other filler. It'll never be noticed on the water.

    Ss16 floor supports

Yep, totally normal and nothing to worry about. Replace the blinds in those factory stringers as mentioned by Watermann and carry on. You'll probably notice the weight of the decking will close your gap as the stringers have a little flex to them, and everything will get pulled tight when you...

Shoestring Starcraft SS160 Resto-mod - let the long slow road begin

Only way to remove it without cutting it in two is to remove the bow cap.

Shoestring Starcraft SS160 Resto-mod - let the long slow road begin

It's for boats equipped with onboard chargers, allows for a more convienent way to plug the boat in when you get back home to charge and maintain the batteries.

Starcraft 1971'? 16' to Duck Boat Rebuild

Sounds to me like you might have recoated too soon, especially if your temps were low. I used the US Composites 3:1 medium cure and it called for a recoat/set time of 3-4 hours at 80 degrees. "All working times(pot life) are based upon an optimum working temperature of about 80 degrees F...

Because I know you all love pictures of stuff drying...6th and final coat of Spar on the decking, 3 coats per side with the edges hit on each coat. Baby steps...

    Starcraft Rub Rail

Yes, hot soapy water. I put mine in a big plastic tote filled with hot water and dawn dish soap. Get the channel as clean as you can and it should feed in rather easily. A needle nose vice grips on the end of the insert helps with the grip and a partner is always useful to have one on the end...

    New Journey

Just been working on some littles as I await the extended delivery delay on my Gluvit. Had a few set backs with an unfortunate kidney stone, a family vacation, and now a few days of turkey hunting, but with the weather warming, hoping to make some more progress. Looking at freshening up my ID...

    SS16 Side Cushion Attachment Methods?

Of note, I was going to replace with new wood, but salvaged the originals as they were in good enough condition and already had the bend to them. You may need to soak them to get some curve to them, or you could also use something like pvc board as your backer that would bend around the curve.

    SS16 Side Cushion Attachment Methods?

Yes, 1/2 ACX plywood with a few coats of Spar Urethane and wrapped with Nautolex. I stripped down the original bow gunnel pads and salvaged the original wood (believe it was 1/4" ply), sealed them up with spar, added padding and wrapped with a marine vinyl. Don't recall the thickness of the...

    SS16 Side Cushion Attachment Methods?

I wrapped the console fronts with Nautolex and attached them and the bow/gunnel pads with large flange rivets.

Were Star Trek V's just not that popular

That console is in great shape and a unicorn I'm sure someone would love to get their hands on. I would hate to see it end up in the trash. We only do that with glassers around these parts :)
