    take the first step, with carb kits, the one core plug i'd remove is on top, poke a wire thru all holes, i use a welders torch tip cleaner, don't mix carbs , do one at a time, top-middle-bottom

    I'm not an expert, but can look stuff up, gears and prop shaft are the same part numbers.

    Dropping Idle - Evinrude 48 SPL

    put hole into plug, carefully, drill hole or tap small hole with screwdriver and hammer(not to deep) , then pry out. to install, place new plug in place, take ratchet extension(3/8 or 1/4) and small hammer and tap domed plug till caved in a little, careful not to damage emulsion tube during process

    1980 something Evinrude or Johnson complete rebuild

    fuel line setup for 87" 48spl should be same for you, black arrow is from pump, white arrow and white tie wrap goes to primer solenoid, i have pic of primer on other side of motor but you can't see hose connections, 3 hoses, large one from white arrow and two small returning to the connections...

    No Title well i found the problem, when the head was removed the gasket had a hole in it down close to the thermostat, so was not getting right flow, but the problem now is there was a large salt build up in this area, and after cleaning there is pitting in the head sorry pic is upside down...
