    Can I put a 10,000 lb boat (dry) on a 12,000 lbs boat lift

    Title is pretty self explanatory. I have a 12K boat lift and am looking at a boat that weighs 10,190 dry. Is the 12K lift going to handle that comfortably, or do you really need to upsize it to support a boat that weighs that much?

    5.7 TKS fuel filter

    My 5.7 carb'ed Merc gave me some trouble the last time I was out on the water. At low speeds, the RPMs were "wandering" up and down a bit. The engine was running rough and actually stalled out on the way up to a fuel dock. Filled the boat up (only need about 10 gallons in a 50 gallon tank)...
