    The lines are old and I don’t want to wait until I have a leak somewhere. I’m big on preventative maintenance. Also I have the Tygon here from other things I’ve done work on. This is my first outboard and I don’t want to do anything dangerous.

    my other thought was maybe I fixed something instead of broke something. This motor has been neglected maintenance wise. I’m going to pull the manifold and see if I need to clean out any more gunk and put a new stat.

    I have a 1992 40 MSHQ Yamaha. The only repair manual I found and downloaded says it covers my model along with others as well. The manual shows only 2 cylinders. Mine has three. I’m about to do the carburetors and they are definitely different when I look at disassembly and reassembly.
