    OMC Sea Lube replacement for 75 9.9 Johnson?

    The service manual (from the 70's by the way) for my 75 9.9 Johnson says to use OMC Sealube. Haven't seen that stuff in years. I am assuming that the correct replacement is the OMC Hi-Vis gear oil? The Seloc manual seems to refer to that type. Any help is appreciated. Thanks

    87 25 hp. How to tell if the engine has a charging system

    Got a 87 25 hp. Serial no indicates motor was originally a rope motor but PO added electric start later on. How can I tell if the charging kit was also added? PO does not remember. If not there can I add it? I'd like to be able to charge batteries. Thanks
