This happened today, and in the blistering heat.

Well, just when I thought it couldn't get any worse, it did today, and in this F..g heat wave. While backing my boat in the ocean, the main eyelit from the bow (pic enclosed) ripped right out and the boat flew off the trailer. It took me and my friend 4 hrs to get it jacked up on blocks and...

Leak thru the lower aluminum anode bolt, I recently installed them after redoing transom. Do you put silicone around the bolt prior to tightening?

Update - Today I was able to stop the leak coming in from the anode bolt by removing the acorn zinc and filling in some 3M 4200 in and around the outside of the acorn zinc, I then tightened it up pretty good. No leaks, dry as a bone. That stuff really works nice.

Acorn anode rubber washer for the lower aluminum bolts.

I was able to stop the small leak coming in from the anode bolt by removing the acorn zinc and squirting in some 3M 4200 in and around the outside of the acorn zinc, and then I tightened it up pretty good. No leaks, dry as a bone. That stuff works fantastic.

Acorn anode rubber washer for the lower aluminum bolts.

Thanks, I did it wrong, and it's too late now. Getting them off while the engine is in may be tough. I'll see if I can slightly loosen them if possible, and fill with 4200.

Acorn anode rubber washer for the lower aluminum bolts.

Does anyone know where that rubber washer goes on the lower anode bolt? Does it go directly on the back of the actual acorn shaped anode as a gasket, or does it get fastened to the square part of the bolt to the transom. I put that washer behind the acorn. I know it's obsolete, but I need to...

Temperature Gauge Not Functioning Mercruiser Alpha One, Help.

A few pins that came off of the male part of the harness and are now stuck in the female end, can they be removed and then be put back into place on the male end, if so do I just push them back in? And would I need an adhesive or solder them in back into the male end? Please advise, Thanks 👍

Temperature Gauge Not Functioning Mercruiser Alpha One, Help.

Yes I got a reading of voltage from the gauge itself, but im not 100% sure if it was 12v , but it could have been possibly. So do I take a jumper wire off a hot lead on the gauge and ground it, to see if it pegs?

Temperature Gauge Not Functioning Mercruiser Alpha One, Help.

Thru further inspection, I noticed that 3 pins came off the male end of the 10 pin harness connector and went into the female end on the 10 pin connector, apparent they were loose. Can I just put them back into the male end, and if so what can I use to keep them in place so it doesn't happen...

Leak thru the lower aluminum anode bolt, I recently installed them after redoing transom. Do you put silicone around the bolt prior to tightening?

Do I need to totally remove the lower bolt and seal it, or can I try just using the marine adhesive on the outside?
