Every storm has hit on my scheduled on days this year... (critical infrastructure) maybe I need to take a vacation so I can actually enjoy it instead of dreading the drive home.
I like the foam. When I did my stringers and deck I just tabbed them in in one shot when the edge was bedded in PB so it was a wet tab on the wet PB and the roller made the filet. Obviously it's unrealistic to have done that for you project. In the spots I didn't do that foam would be much...
I had to double check the brochure for the mercs I got from the show but it matches their site, quotes 695 for the V10 with the big gearcase...
And regardless we're talking a total weight difference of what~120lbs. Pretty insignificant in the grand scheme of things anyway. :)
I'm looking at getting maybe 3-4 inches tonight into tomorrow. The 40 degrees yesterday I was outside in a tee shirt and shorts. Almost threw on some flip flops.
If I knew how dry it was going to be when I did mine I wouldn't have even worried about borrowing my aunts garage. From February to September we had something like 7 inches of rain total... rained about 1 day a month lol.
If something really cool popped up I'd do it again but this is the boat I...
So in my case it was pretty straight forward. The screws were more or less to hold the deck straight. The original deck was stapled to the stringers and then bonded to the hull with expanding foam... thats it. I added the cleats as sacrificial. There are no real changes front to back so for mine...
I agree. Much like anything else at this point you're rolling the dice. It's been 10 years since I've even been to a show so it was nice to check it out again.
I will say I sat down with a formula rep looking at the 33... had twin 400s on the back. He ran them with the older triple setups then...
I would say so. The PB offers a more rigid bond vs the PL. I'd rather the bond between deck hull and stringer to be one unit. Not that the PL is bad but the PB works better as a general adhesive in my experience or for bedding... you want more of a bond here.
Hey Ted, if it sways you any... I just got back from the boatshow and they had a new Suzuki 300 that was leaking oil from the gear case on display.
They gave a C.O. for my parents house with visible light coming through the joint of the extension to the original house... done by the PO obviously. That's really all I'd be concerned with. They won't CO something that didn't get a variance to put a structure too close to the property line...
Due to the family business... and how much we all deal with code enforcement... can't take that chance lol. For a shed? Sure. But a big ass pole barn appearing in a spot that would most definitely need a variance to be placed there... gotta bend the knee. The biggest thing is they want a poured...
Ironically we are building a pole barn but... its for vehicle parking. The town with permitting and other requirements managed to turn a 1k pole barn into a several thousand dollar venture... don't get me started. If it wasn't a shared living situation it'd be done already but I have to appease...
