    ventilating, on toon, 2006 50 Johnny

    not running a tach, but getting ventilation at 3/4 to wot. i can tell, when it does this the rpms are too fast. will be dropping motor one inch today, and check which prop it has on it.

    after pics, maiden voyage

    motor acted like it was starving for fuel above 2/3 throttle, but everything else fine, going to have to lower motor 1 inch. trolling motor worked fine on it, and it was windy. it's only a motorguide WP 45, wireless.

    2006 Johnson 50, i'm suppose to know this, carbs rebuilt, adjusted, vro pump, replaced with block mount pump for this size motor. pumping bulb makes no difference. link n sinc is correct. new hose 6months old, tried 2 different tanks, found one leak, corrected. it is like fuel...

    Raise motor 3 1/2 inches

    we will see how she does this morning. set up so i can drop it easily. alsom 26 gallon tank, i picked up for $40.00, will get other one next month, same price, same guy. transom elevator has 3/16 sheet metal sandwich, and a piece inside the transom, 6 bolts thru transom.

    He is in the hospital in Fort Worth, i talked with him, sounded weak, but great spirits. going to do cardiac cath tomorrow. ask me to quote John Wayne, in Rooter Cogburn. " i ain't dead yet you bushwacker." will probably be out of touch here, for a week or two.

    first time for everything

    rebuilt carb on my 2004 50 johnson, could not figure out why it would turn up to wot, then cut back. got the jets swapped in the wrong orifices, slow in high, high in slow. stupid mistake.
