    IS This thing cute or what!!!!

    Mixed in with a pile of old mower motors, chainsaws, etc was this, I gave the guy $50 for the lot, sold the saws but kept this little jewel for me-self. it had a cracked transom mount, but I had an extra in my parts pile, cleaned the carb, tuned her up, new L U oil, runs sweet. :-)

    I get several small omc outboards to work on each boating season, It seems that the omc 9.9 is the only one I see that uses the perma-gap type plugs L77 or L87v The ignition system seems to be for the most part identical to the 15 hp, looked on the Evinrude / Jonny .com & they do call for this...

    83 Johnson 15, water in cylinders?

    got a very old salty 1983 johnson 15 that was overheating just dripping water from pee hole, front lower unit drain was clogged as well, cleaned drain compartment installed new impeller. reinstalled LU still just dripping. so removed lower unit again hooked up water hose to flush water...

    Homelite dump outboard' PHOTO'S she's ruff

    Well' did I mention that the glass bowl was perfect? I had to use a torch to un-freez it from the ground. It's a shame because the lower unit fin was busted when It was recently dumped, You can tell that break was freshly done. Man what a shame huh.:(

    Re 1958 Rude 10 HP, update & photo's

    started the 58 Rude 10 hp for the first time with the Briggs & Stratton fuel pump conversion, She's a runner! Pulled lower unit today and will replace impeller ( one there now works fine ) I know the engine has set outside on the ground for at least 15 years. coming along tho. cheers:)
