Guessing your open (raw water) cooling and not closed, correct?
Bolts can be reused provided they are fully intact and have not been reduced by rust. If bolts are over torqued they can be compromised, but assuming your motor has not been touched they should be fine
Yes have a look at elbows...
Voltage goes higher than 14.5V because the ALT sense (purple) wire is not connected or making a bad connection.
The Bat cable Red and Red/Purple wire gets connected directly to the starter post. The Orange wire goes to the ALT and gets connected to the 90 amp fuse. Yellow/Red connects to...
That model list as marine rated

But I would recommend a ACR because they protect both Bats and charging is better

Just rolled mine from Government Thrift to Vanguard
Have steadily added to IRA in mostly S&P 500. Moved it because Thrift will not pay a Charity directly (Qualified Charitable Distribution). Since they won't do this I moved funds to Vanguards VOO
Start with a voltmeter and trace voltages. Relays are used when the current carrying capabilities is not sufficient or where more than one item is turned on/off
Never saw a Bravo drive with one of those because Bravo's always have power steering. Those were used on some Alpha with 4 cyl motors and no power steering. If you have power steering you don't need it
^^^ Agree with airshot, part out what you can. The Merc 260 isn't worth that much except to someone which can not afford to rebuild their own motor, same with the drive. The trailer looks in good shape, but looks can be deceiving
Ask around on the Baja facebook page, might find someone looking...
It will cost more than 1K, depending on the rot I would estimate 3K and that is knowing the motor and drive only need maintenance.
I would estimate 2 months minimum and that means your a quick study with fiber glass work
Welcome
Repairing hulls get expensive real quick. Most are not financially worth fixing, but the ones that do get fixed are because it means something to the person doing the work.
So you need to decide do you want to take it on? If you do we'll be hear to help
Probably means nothing but listing just in case
Left the dock with same 2 beeps when placed in gear but found I had no power steering. Left a ground wire off one of the Bats. Pulled back in fixed
Today's run
Again fully powered up and when placed in Rev I get 2 beeps. Smartcraft shows 13.1V...
Need a scanner, and do to no spark Start with distributor car and rotor (I know just replaced last year). Make sure 12V stays on the coil full time when ON and when cranking.
Next it gets into things like crank position sensor
Yes, with caveat, there will be no issue so long as nothing shorts out. My guess is nothing will. You will know if there is a problem by a big a$$ spark when wires connect together, little spark is ok ;)
