    You can blame that on consumers. Given a choice of a $10 pump with a 90 day warranty or a $50 pump with a lifetime warranty, they pick the $10 pump every time.

    Spent a bunch of time in a small town outside Kissimmee Fla. growing up. Mid to late 60’s. Once a week or so they would drive a pickup with a fogger in the back around the neighborhood spraying DDT. A guy on the loud speaker would advise everyone to seek shelter until the fog cleared.

    Mileage is a meaningless unit of measure around here. It’s all about time as illustrated by the prolific use of variable (time) tolling in the area. Have seen tolls as high as $45 to go 12 miles.
