    Boyesen power reeds!

    I'm looking to put new reeds in my 1992 50HP 3 cylinder and was wondering if spending the extra money on power reeds is worth it? I can buy reeds elsewhere for half the price of the boyesens. Thanks

    50hp 3cyl leaking water into cylinder #3

    Iv'e got a 1992 3cyl merc that seems to be leaking water internally on the bottom cylinder. Plug looks noticeably lighter in color than the other 2 cylinders and has water droplets on it. Has anyone had a similar problem and if so what can be done to prevent a burn down. Thanks

    50 hp Johnson misses at wot

    My new to me 2005 J50PLS0C misses at half to WOT. I deleted the VRO and run it on mixed gas. It doesn't do it at a constant rate just seems to be random. I'll be cruising along and all of a sudden it seems like the ignition is cut.

    Prop help for a 21ft pontoon

    I have a 1990 28hp johnson model#J28ESLESM on 21ft pontton that I just aquired and I feel that it has the wrong prop on it. Prop is a 9X10. Seems to cavitate no matter were the pin is set on the transom. Thanks

    OMC fuel tank?

    I've got a red steel 6 gallon fuel tank for my 1991 28 hp Johnson and was wondering how it is vented? There is no screw/vent on the cap. When I leave the cap tight it builds pressure while sitting in the sun then floods out the motor. I believe the tank is also 1991 vintage and is in really good...

    Johnson 28HP anode question?

    Does anybody have any pictures of where to mount and anode on a 1990 28hp Johnson. I"ll try and post some pic's of the lower unit but I must warn you it is ugly. The motor is on a pontoon that sits in the water for a good 6 months out of the year and has been neglected. Thanks

    1991 16'6 Blue Fin Spectrum gas tank question

    I am wondering if anyone else on the board owns this peticular model boat and what you have for a gas tank? I am tired of tripping over the tank! There is not enough room under the back storage for a tank to fit and I am looking for ideas. Thanks

    Spirit 5hp loses prime?

    I have a 79' 5hp that will not keep it's prime while running. It idles good but when I twist the throttle it dies. If I keep pumping the bulb it will run good at idle and wot. The o-ring and base gasket are good. I would like to buy a rebuild kit for the fuel pump but am having trouble finding one.

    Mercruiser 5.0 EFI dies after 1hr of run time????

    The question is why does this happen. Dealer can't figure it out after 2 new fuel pumps and a impeller. The next thing they are going to stick me for is a vapor lock kit at the tune of $600. Has anyone had this problem? :confused: Thanks

    65' 9.5hp how hot is to hot?

    I installed a new water pump kit and lower unit seal kit on my motor and I was wondering if I need to replace the thermostat as well. It just seems that the motor is running hot to the touch but I have not had a problem while running it. Is this normal for this engine? Thanks
