Newer Boat: Stingray 185LX / 3.0L w/ SX leg.
There is a wire harness that goes to the bildge pump. That harness splits off into another wire run that then goes into a coupler looking thing with one wire coming off of it. It's not connected to anything, but it does have a circle anchor looking thing where you can slip this over something and put a nut on it to anchor the wire. I have no idea where this came off or where it is supposed to bolt to. I'm pretty sure the bilge pump works because I heard it running. Any Ideas would be greatly appreciated.

Sounds like the hookup for an automatic float switch, now departed. Does the bilge pump come on by itself when there is water in the bilge or do you have to hit the switch on the instrument panel?

Please - have a marine mechanic or electrician inspect and repair your boat. There's no possible way anyone on a web forum can tell you where the "circle anchor looking thing where you can slip this over something and put a nut on it to anchor the wire" goes.

Re: 06 Volvo 3.0 Bildge Pump Wiring Little Brown Wire

This may very well be for the automatic bildge pump installation. This boat is basically brand new - only 19.3 total hours on the hour meter. There has never been any water in the bilge area, except for the idiot that left it outside mostly uncovered all summer long. The is only one likely place that I can see and that's on the starter. The starter has an unused screw/bolt that looks like something may have been attached at one point. It's beyond me why someone would disconnect this...with it being such a newbie.

Would the brown wire with the ring terminal by any chance be located near the battery? If so it most likely is for the auto bilge pump operation as previously mentioned.

If it's a fairly new boat, take it back to where you purchased it and let them connect it up and explain the operation.
