Model # QD-21 S/N 12017505 I would like to know what year this is so reseal the lower unit. I have to change the gear oil after every time I use it, Will automotive seals work? Thank You
Howdy, Ol' Den.<br /><br />First, be sure that you are using new gaskets under the Drain and Vent plugs EVERY time you change oil..<br /><br />You should be able to order seals at any JohnnyRude Dealer or NAPA Store.<br /><br />Good luck.
The oil seals for the propshaft and driveshaft will rust to nothing quickly if you don't get stainless ones. Iboats or NAPA 18-2682 has the seals you need to fix it. Iboats sells it for $23.65.<br /><br /> Nice QD series site.
