check for loose/disconnected plugs or vacuum hoses. dry/cracked hose/pcv valve could cause vacuum leak letting air in causing idle to go up. make sure nothing obstructing throttle plates from closing. is it throttle body or mfi? IAC valve can stick or go bad making weird idle issues. also disconnect throttle cable and make sure it's not holding throttle open
