Hi..hope someone might be able to assist before I throw a lot of time and possible money at my 105HP chrysler.

I recently had it serviced and all the tests were good, however the 2nd time I took it out after 40mins of cruising around it just stopped dead!!!...almost Like I hit something...which I hadn't!! There was no excessive heat to the touch and the o/heat alarm had not sounded. However, the starter would not spin the motor and and it was very tight to turn even with a spanner on the flywheel nut. I got dragged ashore and got it home where I took out the plugs flooded the cyl's with oil and left it standing for a few days. AFter which it turned relatively ok and then I fired it up and ran it with the muffs on for about 20mins...no probs! However, I put it in the lake the next day and went for about 20secs and then bang...it locked up again...but now it is still "stiff" to turn and the starter cannot crank it at a normal firing speed!!
ANy suggestions of ideas on where to start looking??
Thanx
