I have a 1975 Evinrude 115 that up until Sunday night was running fine
There is no Spark on any of the 4 cylinders
How do I check the power pack on the back of the engine block
Is there anything else I can check for spark
Any help is appreciated

I would first unhook black wires with yellow strip from power pack to eliminate kill switch.

Check key switch as per manual or top secret sticky above.

Open blk/yel wire at connector to pack. Crank engine. Do you now have spark?

I just checked an old post where some had the same problem
They wer refered to cdielectronics.com
I just went through their troubleshooting section
I just want to get this straight
I disconnect the blk/yellow wire off the power pack, if I
have spark it is in the ignition switch
Then they tell me to disconnect yellow wire off of rectifier
If I have spark then/ change the rectifier
I will try this tommorow

The rectifier has nothing to do with the ignition system. Just worry about the black/yellow wire off of the pack. After you disconnect it off of pack and still no spark you have problems on the motor. Pack, timer base, stator or what ever.

Hi everyone
I checked everything up to the powerpackand still no spark
pulled the flywheel and checked the stator, it is dead
My question is ? I checked my timer base as well
I am told I should have 1.4 ohms on the timer base
Everytime I check it I cannot get it over 1 ohm
I am to assume that it is weak and I should change that as well

I checked the resistance on it and it gives me nothing
Tonite I checked the trigger sensors in the time base
one is cracked, I am wondering if I can just replace the sensors
What other tests are there to check the stator and timer base
